When we talk about graphics, we talk about ecovers, cd-covers, website headers, website footers, etc…

For most of these you will need a professional application, such as Photoshop. And if you want your graphics to look really professional it will take some work and skills. However, there are action files available on the internet to make 3D graphics of ecovers and cd’s, but you’ll have to pay for them. Of course it is worth the investment when you create a lot of websites. Photoshop actions automate the process to make a 2D graphic look like a 3D graphic. In addition there are reflections and shadows added to give the graphics a more realistic look.

A header is a 2-dimensional graphic and can be created easily with a FREE program called:

The Gimp

Some call ‘The Gimp’ the ‘Free Photoshop’. It is a good application and you can do lots of things similar to Photoshop. It is possible to make a header quickly and I’ll show you this in a video.

So, look forward to more information about creating headers for your websites with free software.
